Exclamation Another Hon-duh bites the dust...

Here is the story. Today I was coming home from work and I was on the Clearview Expressway, going towards Throgs Neck Bridge, here in NY. (I'm sure some will know where I'm talking about). So I'm going along at no more than 55, taking my time, cause on this highway there are more cops per square foot than in the local Dunkin Doughnuts, cause it's nice and straight for miles, not a single turn, so everyone likes to speed. Well this mid nineties Civic all riced out with the body kit and the patended clear/chrome tail lights,(thats all I could see)passes by me like I was standing still...
The guy had to be going at least 85-90. He swirved arround a Benz a few hundred feet down the road nearly clipping him. Then he doesn't realize that one of the lanes getting on the bridge was closed, so he tries to get arround this cargo van, but since he was going way to fast, he couldn't make it arround and slammed into the rear of the van, then did a 360 and in a cloud of smoke went into the wall! What a complete moron!!

See, that's why I try to avoid driving anywhere near NYC... people who think they're awesome drivers that have barely even seen cars before driving like idiots.

On a snowboarding trip before we came along just in time to see a Nissan Terrano (Pathfinder) get hit broadside by a dump truck. It was kind of a blizzard and the guy got scared. So he decided to stop on the toll road and turn around in a nice 3 point turn. Well it was a really bad idea. The dump truck split that Nissan open like a coke can.
Also leaving Atco Raceway one time I told Jeff Levine (Riotsquad) and a another friend that we needed to hurry and get out of there before one of the village idiot BoyRacers causes an accident on the way to the Turnpike. Well we had one Civic beat us out of the racetrack. About 2 miles down the road he rear ended the back of a stationwagon. You can almost expect them to cause and accident or attract alot of attention from the police.

I don't get it, not that I show favoritism towards Honda's, but it's like me picking on my little nephew, it's not fair to him. I think racing against a porsche or something thats beefier is fun. Even if you lose, it's a challenge to take on, what fun is racing if you know you're going to win all the time? "Without defeat, you can't appreciate Victory" - Memphis Raines (Gone in Sixty Seconds)

Man, I HATE idiots like that!! That moron could have killed someone! I mean, 40 mph over the limit, and he wasn't even aware of the road conditions... jeeze!! I drive maybe 10mph over, always signal my intents and then only if I know the road...

I hope that loser didn't hurt anyone in the van - or any of his passangers...

Die Civic - Your right!
I took on a Porshe Boxter on my way to Reno for new years.
basicly I was driving and I was destructed from a road for a few sec. with a phone call or something and a new boxter (dealer license plates) pulls up next to me starts looking at my car. so I rev my engen....... we went from about 60 to 120 and we were almost side to side (I lost about 1/3 of a car lenght), then I decied to let go of gas. You gotta see the reaction of a person who just bought a 50,000$ car and has a hard time racing a little japaniese subby
I admit, I couldn't beat him, but I truly enjoyed it.

now that we are on the topic of stupid, reckless, or dangerous drivers.. I've just realized something that has been happening here in Australia for the past year or so. early model WRXs (94-96) have been becoming more and more affordable, and a lot of young people are buying these and doing all sorts of mods to get high hp. Now, these guys are very inexperienced drivers, and sadly to say, they are dangerous, and I don't think they should be driving WRXs (or any high powered vehicle). Does anyone think it's fair to restrict what people can drive based on their driving ability/experience?
