Post Us wrx

I just talked to a (used to be) Subaru dealer online and he sounds pretty real to me. I asked him if he knows anything about the WRX coming to the US and he told me that it's 215HP and it cost $26,000 and I was wondering is that true?

Thanks for the help

Thumbs up

I think that is just a little high! Should not be more than $2000-$3000 more than the current RS. Several dealers have confimred this! I have converted the price of the current Australian WRX to US dollars and it comes out to about $21000, which is not far off from the price my dealer gave me! When the new one is released over there it will have a slight increase in price of a couple hundred dollars, so still reasonable! Hope this helps!

I was just reading a magazine can't remember the name, European magazine new cars for 2001. It said the WRX version they are getting has 247hp and did 0-60 in 5.7. Thats the WRX version, we are just getting a Impreza turbo with 220hp, right. Seems like it will be pretty slow still. What do you guys/girls think?

It's prolly the same car but with added more restrictive cat and some stuff. Just rip those stuff off and voila! you get that factory 247hp back! And if you do some breathing plumbing....voila! 270hp!

Anyone keeping a tally on this one?
I say: 227 HP, 0-60 in still under 6 sec.

I love the speculation. When
I signed up for my current car
I got to go through all of this

I speculate - 220hp, $25.5k,
0-60 as tested 5.4seconds.

Chip/header/exhaust = 250hp and
slightly faster.

Stook sounds about right. Besides, 220hp is "around" 215hp. And 215 is what the UK market is getting. It's definitely not 247hp in a restricted format. As for pricing...no one knows. Dealers have said they what they think, but as none of the rest of the spec of the car has been released, even a confirmed price (which rumors are not) doesn't mean much.
