Talking Saw a Subaru 360!!

I had previously only seen this in GT2, but on Friday, I saw it in real life. It was red and looked pretty beat up, but it was original. It sure is small though. Anybody know anything about these little cars aside from the GT2 info?

In case you're wondering, it was at the Steven's Creek VW/Audi/Porsche dealership located in Santa Clara, CA early on Friday morning.

We worked on a Pink 360 van about 1 year ago.
It was small. Reminded us of a Barbie car.
The condition was good. We did alot of work on it.
It is on our photo gallery page.

The first U.S. Subaru is a 360 Mini. This small rear wheel drive car had a 2-stroke, 25 horsepower 356 cc engine, weighed under 1000 pounds, got 66.3 mpg and cost $1,297. Total sold was about 600. It came in a few models: sedan, "Young S" sedan, a van and a truck.

Ya I have a White van with a little over 22K miles. its not going anywhere soon though, as the engine was dissasembled some 25+ years ago because of a problem (25HP at sea level = jack at over 7K ft)

There is also a blue 2dr that is in good shape and runs here in Las Cruces.

The motor is Also a 2cyl. It uses a VW bettle style suspetion with trailing arm front, and swing arm rear suspention.

The van atleast has suicide style doors all around (I think)

I saw my first 360 about 10 days ago while vacationing in CA. It was cruising (?) 50 mph on
a 75 mph freeway. I was astonsihed at how small it was. By the way the 360 was not imported as a car in the USA. The government considers the 360 a 'covered motorcycle'

I bought one of those on GT2. It took it to the test track for the 1000 meter time trial. Damn, I couldn't redline the engine before the time trial started! It kept bogging at launch!

Speaking of the Mystery Machine, they had a tiny go-kart made to look like the Mystery Machine with a 250cc dirt bike motor at the drage races here equipped with chute and wheelie bar. It made 2 runs on the 1/4 mile in the low 13s at 91 mph.

It was awesome! Too bad we didn't get pictures. It could have beat the M3s and NSXs, as well as a handful of other cars.

Ok awhile back I was at my dealership and there were playing this Subaru documentary. In it it has lots of Rally footage. You'd drool all over it! I asked if I can buy it... but sadly they have only one copy. Anyhow tin the video there was this 360 commercial back in the 60s or something cus the women has Marge Simpsons hairdo and the guys well they all wear suits and ties. It was hilarious! THe commercial depicts the 360 in various incarnations! In fact there was a track day 360 and it was kewl. They seem to go purtty fast and didn't topple even on their thin tires! It was hilarious to see 2 guys and 2 girls and a guitar(imagine a Grease) all jammed into the tiny 360!!! And the thing still moves!
Tre kewl.
At SCI department, there's a green 360 on display.

I think I saw two 360s at Gerald Subaru in Denver on Colorado Blvd (I blew a tire and they were the only people nearby who had an RE92). They were quite small.

Flatiron's Subraru in Boulder, CO just purchased a mint 360 GT van. This is an unrestored car that will be perfect after detailing.
