Angry Insurance HELL, Need HELP

I had an accident in my (now sold) GTI VR6 last December. I was found at fault and went to court. I pleaded not guilty and won. I was found not guilty on two convictions.
However, my Insurance Company has decided that *I* was STILL at fault. They are raising my insurance up $600!!! EVEN though I was found NOT guilty by the State of Maryland for this accident!

Okay, so FIRST and foremost I'm dropping Liberty Mutual. IF any of you have LM, I suggest you do the same. They have been NOTHING but a thorn in my arse since I signed up with them. I warn you, if you have LM and are in an accident, you already have my sympathy.

ANYWAYS, I'm dropping LM. So WHO do I turn to now? What is a decent, respectable (is that possible in this case), affordable insurance company? Give me some feedback fellas.

I have Hanover. A suggestion from my father and a good one at that. I have been fortunate that I have not had to use them, but my father has and man are they fast and efficient.
They charge more then progressive or crapo(gieco) but you get quick and reliable service and I deal with the same person if I ever have any questions. After hearing some of the horror stories about some of the companies mentioned above just from I-club members, It is not worth the 200 bucks you save a year IMO.
Check out Hanover if you can, don't think you'll be dissappointed.

Good Luck Bro

May your line be smooth

I had a very good opinion of progressive a couple weeks ago. They offered me the same insurance as GEICO for HALF the price...and I am not kidding. However, They recently raised my rates because they have not recieved satisfactory proof that I was with GEICO for at least six months before coming to them. They keep rejecting the proof I submit for stupid little reasons. I am getting very frustrated. I wish they could just call GEICO and confirm everything but GEICO wont let them. SO, I have to fax them every little detail they want until they are convinced. Real pain in the arse but I am still saving a TON of cash compared to GEICO.

I have Geico - never had to use them. Are they really pretty bad? I have Pemco boat and home-owner's ins. They seem pretty decent.
Does anyone have an opinion as to how much liability insurance we should have?

Have a Nice Day?

I'd try Progressive. I've had them for almost 3 years and I've not had a single problem with them. I had a guy rear-end me and they came out to look at the car and write an estimate within 1 hour! They're always courteous and efficient. Right now, I'm paying $1600/year, but I also live in Fort Lauderdale, FLA, I'm 23 and I haven't had a moving violation in at least 3 years. Give them a call, or take a gander at www.progressive.com
