Default I need input on TWE headers

Ok so i'm thinking about getting the TWE headers fairly soon. thing is that i can only afford the headers alone right now and not the hi-flow cat. Is it recommended that i get both the cat and headers at the same time? what kind of performance will i get out of only the headers? Will the stock cat defeat the purpose of even getting headers??? ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!

There has been recent discussion on TWE, like past couple of days.
There is small but noticible benefit w/ using a low resistance cat with this header. From my experience, and until the manufacturer corrects this problem, the front O2 sensor, from its stock location will rub one of the loops of the header causing a CEL. A plug & play aftermarket cat can be expensive ($300-400) and because of this fitment problem will likely need its front O2 sensor placement adjusted. Therefore, it may be cost effective to acquire a generic and have it custom fitted. Let me say, however, that this company, its service and expertise is first-rate.
