Default GF8 STI engine swap parts question

Hey guys,

I'm looking at swapping in my built ej255 into my 94 impreza and I have a few questions about the smallest amount of parts required.

Is it correct to assume the engine will run with just the intake manifold bolted up to the long block and wired in? Would I need a standalone ecu?
What would need to be deleted so the car can run?

I plan on running with no power steering or A/C. I'm just curious what else I can get rid of the so the engine only has the essentials.

Thanks guys!

You will need to merge the ECU to engine harnesses into the 94 wiring harness but can remove the AC wiring. That merge will be basically grounds and powers. If you are using a newer gauge cluster, you will need the Body Integrated Module also. You can remove evap system parts in engine bay and the wiring for the purge valve, as well as the TGV wiring if you are running TGV deletes. Any codes will need to be flashed out of course.
