Question PIAA super plasma?

If you have PIAA super plasma bulbs, I would like to know what you think of them. Value? Break? Brightness? Too bright? Color? Are they too blue?
The catalog says something like they are bluish in low beam mode, then superwhite on high beams. Is this true?
What other brand should I look into? I've already have had Polarg/Raybrig. Good bulbs but is now busted after one year.

Thanks,Davis K. Powers

Again, if one searches, one will find that the topic has been debated a lot of times. I have the Piaa Super Plasma Blues, and I like them a lot. They are actually purplish white on lowbeam (quite close to actual hid) and white on highbeams. I have been stopped in traffic in DAYTIME by people asking me what bulbs I was using!

The matter of durability..who knows? I've had mine for quite a while now, no problems. I've heard of others with Piaas using them still after 3 years.

Waste OF money:
I recommend the German-made Narva Rangepower high-efficiency bulb, which gives about 30 percent more light at 75 metre's distance from the car. They're $11/ea at: Daniel Stern
Read the FAQ it will tell you everything about Bulbs http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/info/

PIAA sells junk at a high price. Hella makes some nice and bright bulbs at less than half the price. Some would argue that all aftermarket bulbs are junk, so go the cheaper route!

I realize this has been "debated" before, but PIAA does not make junk! They make high-output, specially-colored bulbs. They do tend to break in some cars (my friend's 99 Civic Si blows one almost weekly!), but I have never blown a PIAA in about 8 months of having them! I have Super Plasma's in my headlights, and PIAA Super Plasma wedge bulbs in my corners. They look really good, and I PROMISE they help me see at night!

Hella makes good ***** too! I would try their bulbs, but I know they don't have anything that looks like the Super Plasma's (at least, last time I checked).

Thank you very much on thy input of these bulbs. Sorry it was an over-used topic but I needed a better up-to-date review of these bulbs. Cool guys thanks!

We've had PIAA Superwhites in the Acura for about 2 years now, no problems whatsoever, & they're much better than stock, although their whitish color makes them pretty ineffective in inclement weather.
