Default 17'' Wheel question

I called my dealer and asked them if i got 17'' wheels if it could void my warranty and the person that I spoke to said that they could void it. Is it just me or does this not make any sense at all considering you can get the WRX wtih 17''s if you wanted. By the way I have a 04 WRX sedan.

When i get 17''s what is the offset i would need. Is the offset the only thing I need to worry about with different wheels? Thanks.

hi, if you check out this page http://www.subydude.com/parts/wheels.php

every single wheel there has an offset 48... width of 7.5".

every single wheel you see on that page will fit your car w/out any additional mods.

re: warranty being void... that's real strict... but i can see them making an argument for it... but i'm sure as easy it is to put on aftermarket wheels... its just as easy to take 'em off... right?

good luck!

no way they can void your warranty, subaru offers the 17" bbs wheels as an option. Also, if you do a little research, you will find subaru will not void your warranty outright. If there was damage, they would have to prove it was caused by your 17" wheel as opposed to the stock 16" wheel for them not to perform warranty repairs.
