thermostat??
Where can I buy a lower temp thermostat for my 98 DOHC phase I. I would like as low as they can go.

You could try drilling a hole or 2 in the standard thermostat. This would effectively lower it's 'temperature'.
it would take some experimentation. You gas mileage may suffer if the engine runs too cool. Interesting idea.(I assume you are trying to protect the head gaskets?) let us know how it goes. |

Anyone know whereI can get a 160 degree thermostat or near that?

Call a couple auto parts stores. Or check summit,jegs,jcwhitney. Subie t-stats are a pretty common size.
