Default STi owners: How much did you pay?

I show that actual Dealer invoice as $29,130 with a dealer hold back of $930. Which means it actually cost them $28,200. How much were you able to buy yours for?

I got mine Dec.31 for 29,883 best price I was quoted was 29,500 for blk/gold, 200 miles from me. All dealers pay for destination charge so you can add the $550 to your # ant that is what they paid for it. I was told that the holdback is only for cars that are in a dealers stock for 90days or more. Could be smoke could be true.
good luck

Got a quote today in baltimore, and it was $30500 plus tax and everything. $32200 out the door.

I wasn't too impressed. I was hoping for $31k out the door.

got mine @ Herb Gordon Subaru in Silver Spring, MD for 31,500 out of the door. Well, not exactly that, I got Subaru's Added Security Plan and they gave me my first 2yrs/24k of regular maintanence for FREE, so it added a little to the price. Everyone there was awesome!! Give 'em a call

Sounds good to me, did you get any options? I was quoted 32,200 and it only had the boost gauge, no radio or anything else extra.

yeah the guys in Boise are pretty lame. They tried to sell me an STI with 900 miles on it for 33K yet they couldnt really explain why when I questioned them. New ones are still going for 36-37K there. Pretty weak.

I paid invoice for mine. I thought it was less then fair. I had an awesome sales person. The problem is that most sales people only work off of comission and there are alot of people that do not want the sales person to have any profit off of the deal. Believe me, I was in and out of the dealership alot before I bought my car. I was suprised at how many people were in there nickel and diming these sales people, and all of them were stil really nice about it.

My father was in sales and profit counts as part of there comission. They do only get less then 8% of what they make for the company. I am just suprised that they can still feed there families with the way everyone nickels and dimes them.

My sales person says that she has to sell atleast 13 cars every month in order to pay her bills because people nickel and dime her most profit away.

If you guys can get an STi and the dealer make no money off of it, more power to you, but what about their children. How would you like it if someone came to your work just to take the money that you are busting you a** to get.

heya STIdeals. I note that you did not say if you paid more to hook up your sales person? I worked on a new car lot for a bit, and the dealer gets hold backs, and the salesperson gets bonus's, spins and other ways of making money.. or at least can. I agree though with not grinding them. get a fair price, but don't try and rip them off. The dealer probably made about 12-1400 from me and the sales person got mini out of it as well as a number. thats cool with me. Used cars are different. :P
