Default auto AC removal mod?

on the STI usdm 04

has anyone removed the auto AC sensor that turns on the AC when you select the vents for the feet and front window or the front window only. i usually dont use the AC for this just the heater. so i saw a mod for the wrx models but i noticed that the STI has a different setup. can anyone show me how to remove the auto AC to start up everytime i select these two modes?

In the models with manual HVAC controls this mod is a simple matter of disabling a microswitch that activates the compressor when the mode dial is moved to defrost mode. In the STi, due to the controls being fully electronic and automatic, I don't think there is an easy way to defeat this "feature".
