Default Your RS's Top Speed.

Just curious to know what top speed you've been able to achieve in your RS. With the aerodynamics of the car it's not supposed to go much faster than 120-something.

Anybody hit faster than that? And if so, what kind of mods have you put in?

My GC6 - 120+ or so??? Never checked before and I don't typically speed that much.
My GF8 - Speed limited to 118 mph.

I've gone to 108 in my GF4 with roof rails...scary! I rather do doughnuts than trying to go fast.

Well, I buried the needle a couple of times w/ it. I think I read somewhere that it tops out at 137?

Oh, I only had the coilovers at the time.

105ish was the fastest I could force my GF4 with 4EAT to do. Had it at WOT for at least a minute but it wouldn't budge anymore.

of course haha

but as i said in my post...i came upon a curve in the highway and i didnt know what was beyond (traffic or cops) so i backed off...it was really late at night also and no traffic the whole time i was approaching 110 and then the curve...i guess that was the safest situation on a public road

I managed I think 130 before, pretty much like SJYankee's pic. With a big ver. 5 wing, the car felt pretty well planted.

i read about a guy who was doing about 110 and managed to kill the two kids in the car that he smashed into. he said he was doing 60 but the investigators clocked him in at over 100. the blackbox that come on most cars (not sure if subarus have them, but they probably do) that tells the final speed before an impact read 110. now the guy is doing 30 years. just something to think about.

and jax - i hope to god that wasnt you taking the pic of your speedometer

I think you are jumping to conclusions my friend. You may be thinking that I was doing this on an open, traffic infested, highway in the lower 48. I did it on the lonliest, most desolate part of the Alaska/Canada highway. Yes I did take that picture, and It took me about 5 different times to get a good picture.

Thanks for your concern.
