Default Gauge question

I recently bought my WRX, but got it without a boost guage (it was a lower priority and from the stock on the lot the one with the features I wanted didn't have a guage). Besides, the stock boost guage is in something of a bad place, atleast in my opinion.

There is the three-guage pack offered by subaru, but it is a bit pricey (although that can be run-of-the-mill for price). Does anyone know of any other choices?

Also, while I can see the benefit of a turbo guage, and potentially oil temperature as it's another way of monitoring the engine, how does voltage help the driver (asside from long-term battery health)?

You can always buy the stock housing, fabricate (or buy) a face plate, and install aftermarket gauges.

As far as "benefits" of a volt meter, it allows you to see the current state of your battery's charge. It can alert you of potential issues/problems with your electrical system (irregular flucuations, declining voltage, etc.).......as well as help you to diagnose problems. A volt meter has helped warn me a couple of times in the past (once was a problem with the battery and the other was with the alternator......in my other vehicles).
