Default SVX engine internals/heads

Does anyone know anything about the SVX engine internals and heads? I haven't been able to find too much information about 'aftermarket' work on the EG33.

A friend of mine needs to have his head gaskets replaced, and he wants to get the internals nicely balanced and upgraded if possible, but neither of us can find any good sources for such.

How strong is the EG33 stock? It's a '93 SVX, he's considered going FI on it, but neither of us know how strong the block is, how well the valvetrain would handle it, or what other concerns there are.

have you tried

As far as I know cobb tuning is the only place that will make the parts.

One of the members of www.subaru-svx.net emailed cobb and was told that they could make the parts, but the pirce is hight.
you would have to email cobb. There is nothing on there web site.

Hmmm I thought we had an SVX room on here and I was considering trying to figure out how to move the thread there, but now I see we don't

I guess this really is the best place to post...

I agree, try a dedicated SVX site for more info.

The SVX bottom end is plenty strong there is a svx powered dragster , NA two carbs that runs in the mid 8's and on the stock crank and block. I think it holds the national record in its class.
