Default Foglight keeps shorting out, please help!

my drivers side foglight went out 2 weeks ago, i replaced the bulb on sunday, feb 8, was working all week, then, it shorted out again, on feb 13, is there anyway i can fix this myself? i want to avoid a mechanic at all costs if possible please help

Silly question... By any chance did you touch the bulb when replacing it?

Normally a short in the system will blow the fuse before it blows the bulb. On the other hand you might wanna check and make sure you don't have an intermittent connection. Use a volt meter to make sure you have power and ground at the bulb, if you don't wiggle the wires(might be easier with a friend) and see if voltage appears. If you have voltage then maybe you got a faulty bulb from the store or accidentally touched it when replacing it, that'll shorten the bulbs life quite a bit. When the bulb heats up the oils from your fingers damage the bulb.
