Hi Wistful! Glad to hear you got your car. It's a great feeling to be driving such a fine bit of engineering, no?

1) I had the car with 500 miles on it, so all I did was keep it under 4k RPMs. I'm not an expert on this...but some other folks are.

2) On the outside you mean? Well, try a good wash. See 3.

3) I got ya covered here.

First off, buy MOTHERS. It's the best stuff in my experience. Their 3 stage wax stuff is great.

Stay out of direct sunlight. I find twilight is the best part of the day-those last 3 hours of the day where the sun is setting are great. Plus, you can see the sunset in your car.

I also like Eagle's wheel cleaner. As for the inside, armorall is nice, but this UV2 stuff I just bought is absolutely fabulous. Nice shine, not as greasy as armorall, and inexpensive. Look to see if you can buy some.

When I wash any car I spray-mist, scrub with soap/car wash mix and then spray off. After that I go with the 3 stage wax (or 2 if I've already put on the cleaner) and finish up with the tires/wheels/glass.

Good luck with your car, and welcome to the i-club.

2) During transport, my trunk is completely splattered with bugs. UGh. Nasty. There are a TON of 'em. HOw can I easily remove them w/o scratching the paint?
3) Washing/cleaning the car. Any suggetsions? Time of day, process, chemical, etc. Thanx a lot guys.
