Yeah, that's about right.

Post THANKS for coming to the Install Fest!

It was good to see some new faces at the Install Fest, and some familiar ones too. Sorry I was a bit "grumpy" due to being sick. Although, not as bad as that "friendly" gentleman with the 7-series and lots of drugs in the trunk, eh?

Next time we should do a BBQ / Frisbee / etc. day with less wrenching and more BSing.

Props to bobski for his excellent metal bending skills -- the Hellas sound GREAT in there!

RANDY ... haven't seen you in ages! I thought I'd never see my WRC car again!

slamck, thanks for the Initial D bootleg. Anybody want to come over and watch it sometime?

And brucelee, next time you have to be careful about your nipples dripping all over the place...

Thumbs up

Yeah the install fest was pretty good even though I didnt get to fix my prob with the burning oil. I think I burnt up a quart just taking Daniel and Bill up and down Moorpark.

But what was up with the druggy 7 series?

oil's getting pressurized. when bill and i checked it after i took him for a ride the oil even made a chhhh sound. But yeah it was smoking pretty badly, some guy yelled at us that my car was on fire. oh well too bad for the pigeons and the people behind me

edit: @the smoke. Maybe at night I can stick some more neon lights and a strobe light and take the chicks out for a quick spin and then open up the vents and pretend its dry ice and that a skunk got run over or something.

for the record i dont even know what a catch can looks like. secondly, we were gonna use that thing i showed you when you got in the car. I'm HOPING its going to act as a breather and de-pressurize it. but bill and i came to the consensus that i need a shop to tap the pan for me or something because the piece that screws in might fall out under hard driving...i dunno...ill have to make a couple phone calls

edit: oh yeah i dont know why its getting pressurized.

Hey, which stage of Initial D do you have? I need to get ahold of the second stage. I have all of the first stage on VHS.

once again I do have some tools laying around that are not mine.

Andrew those are your Tie Raps all 1200 of them

There was a breaker bar claimed by someone also

There is still one more item up for grabs if you know what it is let me know.

Once again, it was a great turnout and was great to meet soem new faces and old one too.

Thanks Bill

I enjoyed getting a chance to meet people and see those I have met before. Just wish I had something to install.

Oh, and sorry about the show up, disappear and then reappear thing. Maybe next time I can learn some coordination and not attempt to juggle sunglasses and coke.

It turns out my CE light is from the cats not working effectively.
Code P0420: Catalyst system operation below threshold. This is likely due to the Borlas.

Any ideas? I may just put the stock headers back on.

Thanks Necromancer for the horns. That was way too much fabricating, but it works.

Thanks skywalker for hosting. That neighbor of yours need to lighten up!

It was fun meeting everyone.

That BPM turbo back exhaust was the sickest sounding exhaust I've ever heard on a 4-cylinder. Very nice!

Ill just pick up the tie raps at the next meet or when I need them.

I talked it over with my parents a bit and we can have the next install fest at my house if you guys like. I dont have alot of tools so it would be a bring your own tools type of thing. But I do have a 3 car garage thats really only a 2 car garage and neighbors who wont care about 15 Imprezas on the street.

Question

How late were y'all there? I drove around Moorpark at 1ish...and I couldn't find a single Subaru on the street. I forgot the exact address...but I didn't think 10-15 subes would be hard to spot.

Oh well...hope there's another another install fest soon. =)

Aww, sorry to hear you felt that way. At the first West Coast Subaru meet in '98, we all brought our g/f's and they had a lot of fun cuz everybody was cool. IMHO Subaru drivers have a lot less offensive masculine odor than, say, the Supra boys. So do come hang out with us again -- there are actually quite a few women in the i-Club, after all.

ptshen, most of us were there past 1. i was there till like 7 shooting the **** a bit with Bill. we had to scatter our cars around because the drug dealer 7 series guy got high and must have hallucinated that we were doing something bad. im not sure what time that was but until that time, i think only 1 RS was out in front and the rest were all in the back
