Jamie,

I know your going to hate me, but I think Kankkunen is a little better driver. I'm still glad Burns is on our side though. He is one of the best tarmac rally drivers. What about Reid? Dosen't he get his own site. Navigaters need lovin too.

Steve

I was just kidding about Reids site. I didn't think someone would make a site dedicated to him. I'll have to check it out. Thanks. BTW if anyone cars about how rally cars work and the history of specific cars and drivers check out www.rallycars.com One of the best sites, ever. (next to I-Club)

a look at the gorgeous winter scenery in the second pic and you have to wonder why, again, we can't have a wrc race, especially in similar surroundings. we have places like that, say in washington state, beautiful backcountry, fans would come from all over, burnsie would win it...hey, wait a minute... i feel like i'm being pulled into someone else's fantasy...

Those are some sweet shots. How are they doing with the new car? I heard of the mechanical failures early in the season. I must be the only person on here that doesn't have speedvision. C

Man, what I wouldn't give for a rear spoiler like that on my B4...

They've recently released some seriously good WRC books here in Japan centered around the new WRX; in particular, one called "The Boxer Sound" has some pretty awesome pics.

Cheers.

This isnt so bad really...the jump is across an intersection...like a Y in the road. coming from the base of the Y up over a burm, onto the split-off road on the left. So the car launches uneven. So it looks worse then it really is. They land on the back side of the burm, which make the car land rather softly (compaired to the yumps in finland, or to the jumps and crests in Australia). The hardest part of the jump is landing the car, at an angle, on a slight downhill slope, with the front wheels loaded. Can you say "tank slap'a". The car gets REALLY squirrly...thats the scaryiest par...cause you have spectators on both sides of that road...and of to one side the spectators are stanging on a steep hill. I still think its one of the better jumps in the WRC. Next to the jump in portugal (which sucked this year), and the tripple stair jump in rally australia.
