Thumbs down Another RS goes down...

Well, tonight I went to this strip where lots of modified cars all over the DC area go every friday saturday to show off and street race (I go to watch the stupid people race). Hundreds of cars show up, usually, if not more. It's a hot spot for cops so you have to constantly watch your ass and have your keys handy. Tonight I watched a '00 blue 4 door RS line up next to a modified red 2 door accord. They both took off at the same time but apparently the Subaru driver didn't know how to drive real well and didn't utilize his awd and limited slip as they were neck and neck from the start. Everyone watches intensely as they zoom down the strip. Suddenly, 2 all-too-familiar white Chevy Lumina sedans with disco lights appear out of nowhere in pursuit of the 2 cars. BUSTED!!Everyone scrambled like a chinese fire drill, including myself. I assume the Sube was pulled over and slapped with a hefty speed contest ticket. Who knows...hopefully not.

The moral of this story, kids, is don't be stupid and careless. Also, learn to drive your Subaru before engaging in street warfare - if you're going to get caught, get caught winning. There's a time and a place to run your car.

I remeber the days of going down to DC to see those kinds of races. Usually a bad idea though since people get stupid at them and the cops show up so fast. The hassles involved usually make it a waste of time. Too bad the RS owner had to find out the hard way. Let's hope he didn't get cuffed and stuffed. I think its NYC that can seize your car if caught racing. That would be the ultimate screwing.

There's one every Friday and Saturday night at the intersection of Arwick-Ardmore road and M.L. King road. It's literally a three to five minute drive from my house.

I went there twice. Two gas stations are where the tuners hangout at. It's simply a parade. No one really races that often since the cops are EVERYWHERE. The cops don't mind too much except when the cars become too abundant. Then they start telling people to move out. Relatively safe since it's all show and no stupid races.

I might drive by tonight if I'm too lazy to level up in Diablo II.

N/A is right! Here in NYC, you get caught racing, you kiss your car goodbye... It happened to my friend who had a 68 Camaro... The cops showed up at his house at 2AM, and took his car... (They had him on video racing)The worst part is, he'll never get the car back, and since it was a Saturday,(you know, no judge)he got to spend the next couple of days with Big Bubba... Sucks...
Don't do it! It's not worth it... (at least not in NYC)

I not to thank god that I live in Philly because one I haven't been caught yet, or had any accidents from evading the cops... I think in Philly is just a bitching and after the third bitching you get slamed with a ticket... but that's all I know... hehe if any subie owners live close to the Vet, or you know what I'm talkin about see ya there tonite... cough.. cough
