Have a Nice Day? Asylums Body Kits

A friend ordered from them 3 months ago. He has not seen his kit yet. They said free shipping, and he was charged shipping. ($100). When he asked them about it, they then said, its only free if you order more than one. He is getting the di*ked over, kind of like another, now famous (for the wrong reasons) company, or wanna-be company I know. Just "ANOTHER" warning about Asylums, or however you spell it.

yeah, i kept quiet during the recent wave of asylums euphoria, but they are pretty useless in my experience. a recent example: my girlfriend ordered "altezza" lights for her civic and was told they would ship for free, the next day. well 3 weeks and a few phone calls later they finally admitted that they never had them in stock to begin with! when she cancelled the order and got her credit card statement not only had they billed her for shipping, they had done it twice. hmmmmm.

Someone should seriously talk to the authorites or someone about them. What they are doing is wrong. Nobody has gotten parts from them, yet they have all been billed. Isnt there a law stating that they cant bill, till they ship?

oh well, not my business I guess. I am not ordering from them.

Why do people keep thinking they can keep trying to steal our hard-earned money? Obviously we were smart enough to get a good deal on a Subaru so were not dumb enough to let ourselves get "D!cked around" I think that it's a rather poor buisness decision to try and mess with a relitively small community like us and expect to continue getting buisness. I think we need to show these companies they need to start thinking twice before trying to mess with a proud Sube owner and his trunk monkey!!

Here is a solution to the billing but no shipping problem, if you ordered with a credit (not debit) card:

When your statement gets in, attach a letter stating the problem you are having with Asylum (or whatever company). At least with my credit card company, I will only need to pay only for the amount that is not-disputed (check your bill - they have the exact procedure for disputed charges). What your CC company will do is research the dispute, and if they side with you (which they will since the produce was NEVER shipped), they will backcharge the offending company!

Here's the cool part. The CC company keeps track of all such backcharges (or whatever they're called. If a company racks up too large of a percentage of backcharges, the CC company will fine the offending company like mad!!! I think MC just lowered the threshold so that it'll be VERY easy for a company to get fined, and all the other CC are following suit.

I would NOT recommend doing this to a good company because they can potentially get screwed by the credit card company, BUT if Asylum is screwing you, then heck, screw them!
