Post Who has installed the Dual Cup Holder on an RS?

Man...I bought the Dual Cup Holder from Lisa...it was supposed to be a "in and out" thing...yeah freakin' right!!!
I got the two screws out from the sides of the single stock holder but if I pull it any harder, I think the whole damn center console is coming out with it. Is there another screw somewhere not seen? If so, how do I get to it. - I've done searches but nothing explaining the scenario. Pls help. Thnx!!!

There is a third screw in the middle of the cup holder on the bottom of the bracket holding it in. You removed the two on the sides right. But the one you are missing in on the bottom in the middle. Take a look and see. You have to remove your radio, climate controls, and center dash trim to get to it. It's a lot of work, but none of it is hard. Good luck

Are the screws located on the sides towards the back of the center console where the radio and controls are at? How do I take out the outer shell of the center console?

Don't listen to those fools!! The 3rd screw is a myth!

That third screw is hard to get to. Just keep pulling stuff apart until you can get at it. You should not have to remove the storage bin on top of the dash. Just the radio surround and the climate controls need to be moved just to get more clearance. Good luck with the install. It is time consuming but not that hard to do.

I posted this in the NESIC forum. I don't know how to link to it so here it goes again.
Don't be afraid! :-)

Hi folks,

It isn't that hard (really!) This was
my first modification to the car 'cos I couldn't bring myslef to do anything to the
engine (that was then, now I'm ready for the engine :-) ).
Anyway, here are the instructions. It is a pain in the butt I agree, but it isn't that hard.
You will need:

1 screw driver
2 small towels

1. Open lid between seats:
1.1 remove 2 screws under plastic caps
1.2 remove panel around parking break & panel around shifter (they snap in and out)

2. Pull trim panel (with ashtray & lighter/socket) out from around the radio & heater controls (again they snap in and out). Lay it to the side on a towel with wires connected.

3. Remove the 8 screws holding the radio and heater control, pull radio out and set radio on a towel in front of the shifter with wires connected. The cables are pretty short, be careful.

4. Remove 3 screws including cup holder. When removing the cap holder screw be careful not to drop the screw!
After removing the screw, push down on panel under the cup holder to remove it (don't be afraid to push down, it won't break).

5. Done. Reverse steps to put the panel back on.

Now, my girlfriend is really happy :-) Not that you care about that.
