Default 850 under invoice on 2004!

Damn I dunno if I shold just get it next month. I was waiting until the 2005's come out b/c i really want to see what the graphite looks like with the new front fascia. Do you guys think the deal will end or do you think it only gets better from here? I can get a 2004 rex w/ premium package(heated front seats, sunroof, heated mirrors), sport package (shift knob, short throw, boost guage), auto dimming mirror & armrest extension for only $24,483!!!!!!!!!!!! its even cheaper than my invoice deal with the subaru vip program. What to do!! what to do! I have 6 grand RIGHT now that I can put down on it! I figure I'll get like 2-3 grand for my 95 altima with 61k miles on it easily right? that can go to insurance.

HELP!

yes yes YEES! but im just curious as to whether or not you guys think they might have better deals like they did when they got rid of the 03's to make room for the 04's. I'm really pushing my budget to get this car so every little bit I can save helps out!

Well, pretty much look at it this way: If you can get it for 24500.......LOADED right go for it specially if in 2 yrs ull get around 20k in trade-in if you decide to upgrade to a better car.......

I got offended when I went to test drive a denali and they only said it was worth 23k, my STI. Hahha I laughed at him and asked where he got those numbers; He said from KBB....I immediately told him how was that possible if they havent released any #s for 2004s haahahha......he immediately changed the subject.

But yeah man, 24500......try low balling him even more. Right when you're about to sign the papers say that u wanna back out bec you've seen better deals than that. Hey, it worked for me when I got my 2000 Civic Si They lowered it a lil over 1k.

actually, that was just the price I got from Carsdirect.com. I hope I can get a better deal with the dealer, but as of now, I'm not sure how my credit is and I heard the Subaru Finance is pretty much Chase, who just recently merged with bankone so I'm not sure what their criteria is cuz I def want to get the 1.9% apr financing. I remember that when Carsdirect.com had the 03's for just a little under invoice, everybody around NASIOC was buying them for a grand UNDER invoice so I hope that it would be the same for the 04's.

i agree with |GameOver| that you should be able to find a better deal. Patience can payoff bigtime.

OR

Tell them you will buy it ASAP for 23.5K.
AND
If you get the 750 cash back....voila,you'll make out like a bandit.

So you guys think 1000 under invoice is possible PLUS the factory cash back!?? The only selling factor for an 05 will be the graphite color, depending on how it looks.

getting an 05 as soon as it comes out is great cuz you get a good 6 months of free depreciation.....i.e buying 05 in 04.

but forget about getting 1000 off invoice on a 05.

i personally would wait for 2005 and the new tranny. you will most likely even be able to shift into first without double cluthing over 5 w00h00.

good luck getting it for a 1000 under invoice from an advertisment or a car salew website...

unless thats a manufacturer rebate.. u can never get it under invoice without them making money.. why would they do ur business.. they are sales people man.. i can give u a wrx for a 10,000 but u gotta pay 15,000 in extended warrenties and alarms and u have to finance that i'm gonna add an extra 10% apr on it.. lol go to dealer and dont put a down payment till u see the numbers in the end and calculate them or u'll end up getting ripped off

I don't think anything has been confirmed for the 2005. A lot of people here have asked dealers about the 2005 models and are being told that there won't be any major changes for a few more years. Where did you hear about wider rear quarter panels?

im eligible for VIPpricing for SOA because I work for JPMChase. You can also get VIP pricing by signing up for some mountain bike club or something, but I'm not completely sure.

is that a rumor about the new tranny? i heard the canadian model will be getting new syncros not the us model. im stuck on buying an 04 now or waiting till the 05 comes out. if i buy now i could get a sliver 04 wrx for around 21k! but i dunno if thats worth dealing with the tranny issues...

Hi Kevin?, Subaru is selling wrx's for under invoice right now. I was offered 250 under invoice before I started even haggling/looking around + the 750 rebate = 1,000 under invoice. Their clearing out the 04's to make room for the 05's which are coming soon. I know a guy who bought a IS300 for 2-3 thousand under invoice. Point is, people can get deals under invoice w/o getting ripped off.

I went over to my local Subie Dealer over the weekend (after they were closed) to check things out... the local place (Wakefield, MA) is a pretty small lot physically, but MAN they had a GAZILLION Subarus on that lot... I mean the place was more packed than I have EVER seen it by far... they even had two cars parked IN THE WOODS behind the lot (Foresters, appropriately enough! )... tons of Legacys and Foresters... not many Imprezas and only 2-3 WRXs, interestingly. I dunno if this lot has become the "dropoff lot" for local dealers or what, but I was just imagining walking in to negotiate on an 04 Legacy knowing that the 05s will be out soon and how cool that would be. (Not me though, I'm waiting for the 05 Rex.) Anyway... the point is the 05s aren't that far away, and the lots (this dealers' anyway) are jam packed with 04s...they gotta be feeling some significant pressure to move 'em OUT...
