Thumbs up

I must say....the Impreza looked best soaring 4/5 feet into the air in the snow at the end there!!!! Woohoo!!!

I agree, definitely better coverage than the Monte Carlo show. Still not impressed by only 30min of coverage, but it's better than nothing, and atleast this one was primarily race action. How about those frickin' tires!!! The night shots from the first day with the sparks coming off the studs on the gravel was wild!! I also enjoyed the couple of helicopter shots, showing the loooooonnnngggg slides those guys put the cars into - absolutely amazing.

By the way, did anybody catch the Oregon Trails SCCA Pro Rally coverage (also on Speedvision)? I taped that one last night - some pretty good action on that too. If you didn't catch that, keep an eye on the listings for a re-broadcast, it's worth watching.

I record each airing and cut out all the commercials...big mistake this evening. I was paused at the commercial break before the third leg coverage and woke up during the last stage. Can I get a copy of the Swedish Rally from someone with or without commercials? I have all but 3 rallies from last year so I can trade with you if you want. Please email me @ [email protected]

After my extensive complaining about last weeks coverage I must admit that this was better. More racing less crap.
Is it me or do the WRC cars look WAYYYYYYYY better with the wide tires on?

The cars look much better with wider tires on, IMO. But it's obviously not about looks! Even my wife commented about how the cars (especially the Mitsu) looked like a behemoth hovering over bicycle tires.

Subie shot at the end was particularly good.

The Peugeot really looked fast running down a couple of those snow/ice/rock covered straights!
