Post svx motor in impreza??

i'm sure it's already been asked, but can it be done??

Save for a tranny re-configuration, anything is possible. You might want to post this in the technical message board.

It can be done. There was a guy in Cananda who did this swap. He complained the weight of the iron block really hampered the overall balance and dynamics of the car, but that is was pretty quick. I seem to recall he complained the gear ratios of the 2.5 were not well matched with the powerband of the SVX motor as well. i believe the tranny bolted up with some modification. He was an original member of this board I think.

anyway, its possible, but why go through the hassle when you could get a turbo motor, or better yet, turbo your motor.

Yeah, why change motors when the EJ25 is capable of getting 250+HP with boost. THe Impreza chassis was not made for bigger motors, you don't want to screw-up the balance of the car, unless you just want to go in a straight line for drag racing.
