try the sticky at teh top of the page, cause their is no best catback, its all personal opinion for sound, they all give roughly the same gains

for headers, cobbs seem to give the best low end gains, mrt has good high end, brullen and twe seem to be in the middle somewhere, and borla's give ok gains, but mostly for sound

And which "expert" pulled that out of their ass?

Cobb and TWE are practically identical, save the shape. Which would be good for a person who already has a high flow cat on their car. WIth the Cobb, its junk.

If you want a cobb looking header with a REAL merge collector, TWE also makes a header that removes the flower shape before the cat section to give you a design that is very simular to the Cobb shape. With the superior collector. Try and ask Cobb if they can make you bigger headers because you have a nasty NA build. Its not going to happen. TWE has 2 different header sizes.

TWE also produces parts the way that you want them. I ordered an entire exhaust, HO headers that are streached back instead of looped, they are coated, produced with 2.5 inch tube through out. I had them use a 45 inch Thrush glass pack for sound supression, and I wanted a black muffler tip on it, so they put a 3 inch black muffler tip on the end of it. They will build anything that you want. If you are somewhat lost to what you should get they will guide you in choosing what will produce the best results with your setup. TWE is a very good vender, and will not try and sell you something that you don't want or need. Since they make their own part with in a yell from where the phones are, they know everything about their product. If you have something that stumps Keith, Tom will answer anything that you can throw at him.

If its not staring the parts picker in the face from the shelf at Cobb, your not going to get one unless you have a race team that can splatter "Cobb" all over the side of your car, and you have a budget to buy what ever you want.

I'm not even going to go into comparing the TWE header to the Brullen 4-3-1 "thing". It was good in the original CAD drawings, but fell on its face when they started building it, and belongs nowhere near the TWE.

Call Keith at : 1-403-288-8568

Tell them that Section 8 sent you.

section 8, i think you totally misunderstood what i was saying, i am in no way knocking twe or brullen products, i think both have top notch build quality, and i know how knowledgable the guys over at twe are

what i was trying to state was that from the information i have seen here and on several other forums, is that cobb headers have huge low end and midrange gains, but not the greatest top end gain, mrt has great high end gain, but doesn't show any power increase before 4000 rpm, brullen headerback was gtech'd at 21 whp, 15 whp for just the header/cat, i know gtech isn't a dyno, but every person i've seen post gtech and real dyno numbers has shown that the gtech isn't far off, +- 2 hp, and people have mentioned that it has gains in teh midrange and up high

as for your beloved TWE, yes, they make great products, and they are the only ones who offer headers for the likes of dcoty who have monster NA builds, but the only problem is i've only seen 1 dyno from their headers which was on a turbo'd legacy, but from what i've heard they have more low end then the mrt's, and better high end then the cobbs, which is why i stated their somewhere between the mrt and cobbs in terms of where in the powerband they will make the biggest gains

Ever get this all sorted out? You figure by now someone would have a few dyno sheets on each setup. No? I've been searching, and have yet to find an answer.

anyone, anyone?
