Have a Nice Day? Good ol' days of styling (re:MY02)

What other examples of auto design can you think of where the new model makes the old one look like a masterpiece.

-The new Mustangs;

-The new Celica - I still think that car looks like it shoots off a giant robot's arm
- at least it keeps the galaxy safe

-The new Impala

As much as i hate them.... eclipses. Also, i personally think the same about the legacy. I love the 98-99's. oh, and i'm sure this will bring up lots of arguements, but the porsche 911, too

Puckavelli, you actually liked the old econo-boxes Chevy called the Cavalier? Yuck, I like the new ones alot better. I do hate the new headlights on the Camaro, should have left it the way it was. Look at the new headlights in the Sonoma (GMC), for some reason, when I look at it, it looks like the truck is all druppy eyed and crying. I like the look of my S10

It depends what you mean by Impala, the new body is better than the upside down bathtub from 89-98?. But it doesn't compare to a 67 fastback or the 62 body style. I think the new Mustang is better than the previous 79-93model or the MustangII/Pinto, but they looked much better from 64.5 to 72. I prefer the old E-30 boxy bimmers, pre 73 Corvettes and Camaros. The new 911s (996) lost a lot of personality to gain better aerodynamics. Jags looked better in the sixties, I prefer the old Beetle to the new Beetle. The list is endless.

in all honesty... i gotta admit that i like the look of the new ...

-mustangs - certainly beats out the previous generation design, i guess the classics looked nicer though

-celicas - front looks nice, back looks like the designers got pretty tired after the front

-eclipses - very few people will agree with me on this, but i think that it looks a LOT better now (it just really sucks performance-wise)

-legacies - personally i like it more, before it looked like a simple "accord-competitor" but now it looks like a pimpmobile... if only that twin-turbo kit would come around... hehe

now of course, i HATE the new...

-impalas - jus look goofy
-maximas - uhh... no, hehe
-beetles - yeesh
-jaguars - most of em, but the XK look is growing on me
