Post Has anyone seen the Dec issue of SCC?

I just got mine yesterday. At first I was a little dissapointed that there was no Project Impreza update so I didn't look any further last night. Got up this morning and looked some more. Oh my god Imprezas are taking over the mag. There is one in readers rides, another in Weekend Motorsports Solo Speed article, one on the cover page of Forest on Fire. They have SWRT.com in the Webside section. And they have an update on the U.S. WRX in Rumors and Lies. They also talk about the new flat 6 for the Outbacks in ther as well. We asked and we are recieving. There may even be more in there, I have only been loooking at it for about 10 minutes so far. This is sweet. Well gotta go look at the mag some more.

Well when my issue finally shows up likely 30 days late then I can read it myself. Then again by that time I have went out and bought a copy at a local store.

Looks like since Honda is abandoning the aftermarket with the new unmoddable Civic, SCC has to find something else to write about, which explains the big Focus & Impreza coverage this month.

Normally I don't get mine until about the 15th of the month, 15 days late that is. But for some reason they gave it to me early this month. I am not going to complain about it. The only thing that sucks now is that next month it will probably go back to being late like usual. So that means I will have to wait like 2 months to get next months mag. Oh well this one is pretty big and packed with Subaru stuff so I have a lot to read. Should last till tomarrow night anyhow.

The most interesting bit (though I liked the autox hilite) was the rumormongering about the WRX.

A direct quote:
"Finally, there is a tiny, little chance the U.S. spec. car won't look like this at all. There have been multiple spy shots of a heavily disguised prototype with a more conventional rectangular headlight profile, but the same fenders and roofline. We have one untested source saying that is actually the U.S. front end. We suspect it is, in fact, nothing more than a clever disguise, but only time will tell." - Dave Coleman

Interesting stuff seeing how SCC is reporting on it.

I wonder if the 7g Civic shows that the import craze is trending back down. Certainly the fact that Ford jumped in can't be good. Hmmm...

Yeah, kinda funny about the new Civic...they ditched the sophisticated suspension and put the cat in a place that makes FI very difficult. And people are still going to try to modify these things. Maybe they won't. I wouldn't count on a new Si version. Honda is gonna make people pay $24K or more for a performance car now (ITR, S2000).
