Cool Praise for Carlson Subaru/ Track Day

Hey all,

Just wanted to say that I had a good experience today w/ Carlson Subaru's service dept. I had brought my car in for the 22.5k oil change/ tire rotation as per the service coupon book I got w/ the car. I had just gotten new tires two weeks ago, (RE730s, Great Tires, BTW) so I asked if I could get a rain check on the rotation. Anyway, I asked if they'd go over the tech inspection for the Subaru Track Day. Initially, the service rep said it'd cost an hour's labor. I reluctantly agreed and got a ride to work. Well, I got a call this afternoon saying everything was finished and said there wouldn't be a charge for the inspection because it didn't take very long and we could just call it even w/ skipping the tire rotation. I know it probably took less time to do the inspection than it would've to do the rotation. But still, they could've charged me for the inspection anyway. Initially I was looking at an $80 charge! The fact they were willing to do this at all since they could've looked at it as condoning racing or accepting responsibility for the condition of the car. I don't think they're as tuner friendly as Santa Cruz, but its a start. I just thought w/ all the posts about bad experiences, I'd throw a good one in. See ya at the track!
