Post Group A engine and parts for sale

My question. I saw an ad for a complete Group A engine, tranny, turbo, etc. for sale. Are these components any good for a road car? I suppose it depends on what parts, but for example, the elusive WRX engine that everyone stateside would love to install in their cars, is for sale. Would it make sense to install a Group A engine in a road car or is it too heavily modified to even see the streets? Afraid I don't know what goes into making a Group A engine out of the normal WRX engine.

I'd try that question on the UK boards

bbs.scoobynet.co.uk or bbs.22b.com

If you aren't racing then you would simply be setting yourself up for a world of trouble. Group A engines are designed to be rebuilt or replaced about every few hundred stage miles. Turbos are changed every few stages as the antilag destroys both turbo and exhaust in short order. Also, expect to learn a whole new way to shift as the Gr.A cars use dog boxes and very aggressive clutches. Unless you have a budget of say $100,000 a year to maintain your drivetrain its better not to even think about it.
