Default Urgent- about body rust

I'm getting some welding done to my subie, as rust has rendered her 4wd shaft ready to come off. Anyway, ive noticed that up in each of the rear wheel wells, there appears to be something that looks like perhaps a mount of some sort, just a flat round top of something, and where it meets the inside of the wheel wells it is rusted about halfway around each. Is this extremely important, what are they, and can some additional welding patch this up? If it can be fixed, i need to know soon so i can have the welder attend to it, but if not, i dearly hope it isn't significant...or I'm out of a car for the summer Thanks

Sounds like your rear strut mounts are rusting out..pretty common for you rust folks.

Come down and spend a few days in TX.. we'll go to the wrecking yards and find a nice rust free body.. drag it back to my house nd slap your drivetrain into it.. whole new car for $200 or less
