Default Air bag cut-off switch for 03 Baja?

I just got an 03 Baja....My first subaru. Is there any way to shut off the passenger side air bag so that I can take 3 kids with me (only 2 can fit in the rear). Specifically, I am looking for a factory type switch.

I have seen them in GM trucks so I know they exist....just don't know if they do for Subaru's

I think newer Subarus have "smart" airbags that detect the weight and height of the person sitting in the passenger seat, which determines if the airbag is active or not.

I'm not 100% sure on this regarding the Baja, but I have read that the upcoming Legacy will have these automatically adjusting airbags.

There is no factory airbag switch. and if you want to have one installed you might have to check with the laws in your area. In VT if your car dosen't come standard with the switch you need to fill out a form with a good reason on whyyou need the switch to be installed. But they tend to turn down any reason that is not medically related (at least here)

the air bag censor thing is in the middle of the console. Just take off you shifter molding, and your molding that goes around the console. I bet you could simply disconnect the wires. Its amazing what you find when wiring a subwoofer to the head unit, including the security system modual
