Default Lifetime alignments? Unlimited alignments for one year? Does it exist?

Are there any places in Ellicott City, Columbia, or Wes Wes B-more that offer a flat rate for unlimited alignments over a certain amount of time (or forever ). Thanks.

I had Firestone on my last car. Had them realign whenever they did my tire rotation.

I don't know if the other companies are like this, but if you buy 4 tires from Firestone, they rotate them for free whenever you bring your car in.

Beware of Firestone.

They do not perform alignments properly. My dad had one of those lifetime alignment packages, and took his Outback to Firestone every few weeks for an alignment. To make a long story short, they messed something up in the front alignment that made his relatively NEW front tires wear unevenly within a time span of only about 3 weeks. The tires wore down to the steel belts and had to be replaced. He then took his car to NTB to have the alignment checked (out of suspicion), and they said the alignment was terribly out of spec.

I took my car to Firestone once for a quick oil change, and they messed that up too. They threw away the drain plug crush washer, and didn't tighten the drain plug properly, causing oil to drip slowly from my oil pan onto the driveway. I ended up having to do a second oil change myself.

Also beware of Pep Boys. My mom took her Legacy there for an alignment once, and they gave the car back to her and outright said that they did not know how to perform and alignment on her car!

This is why I still go to my dealership for service. It will cost a little more, but it will be done RIGHT.

Also a lot of these places also do a "Toe & Go" routine.

I would be leary of any lifetime alighnment places also,,,what caveymeister said is true,,"set the toe and let it go" is somewhat the norm.

Since we are on the topic of shady alignments. Just tires did my alignment, they seemed very professional, but they told me that the castor cannot be adjusted on my car (2000 2.5 RS). This seems odd to me, anyone know if this is true or not?

Caster cannot be adjusted unless you have caster adjustable top plates. You can adjust it somewhat with the whiteline kca375 offset bushing, but I gave up on that install yesterday. It'll have to go on some other time... I rotated my Tein top plates and slammed them to the rear to get 4.5 degrees of caster! WOohoo. I just got the alignment done at Merchants. They have a 3 year deal for 139, plus I used a $20 off COUPON . I can now get an alignment anytime I feel like it for the next three years at Merchants, NTB, or Tire Kingdom. NTB is now part of Tire Kingdom also. Just to make sure they did everything right, I sat in the garage and talked to the guys while they did it. -2 degrees camber in front, zero toe (and 4.5 caster). -1.5 camber in rear with 0.09in toe out. Sound good? One of the toe eccentric bolts was completely locked up in the rear .The first Merchants I tried said they wouldn't do it except to factory specs.
