Default Should i keep my car?

I have an 04 WRX and i like it but it seems that to get this car to at least 300WHP is a lot of money.I had almost bought an EVOVIII and i wish i had gotten it because they are putting down some big power with just a couple of mods. I am undecisive if i should keep dropping money in mods or keep it the way i have it now and wait for the next EVO? What do you guys think? And im concerned about blowing my motor putting 300WHP+ on the car and of course busting my tranny. HELP!!

Well, if you are waiting for the next evol, it's comming. They are making a racing edition. Personally I dont like Mitsubishi. They are like hondas; eveybody and their mother has one. That is the only reason why parts are cheap. Try Vishu for mods, I heard they are good. ONce my warranty wears off I am going stage 3.

honestly I would suggest you just keep your car becuase in the long run you will spend more money on the STI or the EVO becuase;

1. If you have modded your car you don't get back what you paid fore your parts

2. You also will get less for our car as for trade in or private sale

3. You will have to buy new parts for your new car at new or used prices

4. You will have to spend more time doing the same mods like exhuast, uppipe, downpipe, turbo, etc..

5. Your insurance will go up depending on your age due to newer year car.

However you can always upgrade tranny or do a engine upgrade.

Just my thoughts

Hey I'm right there with you. It can be so easy to rationalize. MSRP on my car was $25000 ish... and STi is just a hair over $30k right. My mind thinks, hey, that's only an extra $5k right? (well no, of course, but this is the fuzzy math my mind does) I can spend that in mods easy right? Well, in reality, I bought my car new last year for $21k, and an STi, if I'm lucky, will cost at least $31k. Add in the extra insurance, the extra tax, depreciation, the extra year on my loan.... well, you get the picture. The STi is a completely viable option for me, but SHOULD I get one... well, no. I keep looking... and keep stopping myself. Also, the idea of getting a brand new car, with relatively the same dash, seats, layout, room... meh... I'll wait for the 2008 Legacy STi or something.

Just one guys opinion.

If you buy the mitsu be sure to get the best extended warr you can find. I know a guy who has had nothing but problems with his evo. Plus mitsu's depreciate a lot more than subarus. Keep the wrx.

I was going to say Get yourself a STi, Transfere over whatever mods you can, somethings should transfere. But Factor in the insurance and extra price. Or Buy a New Outback H6 Sedan and Mod that. You could have the fastest car out there in no time.

Depends how much money you have.
