Post Vote to rename this forum...

Why don't we call this "WRX vs. All"?

But in all seriousness, the most recent posts here, I see WRX vs. A4, S2000, Golf VR6... It's getting out of hand. I know people complained about this before, but it's still getting to me. That and the fact that most newbies complain about so many things about the WRX. Once again, it's been said before, but these words are spoken by a prodigy...

"Just be happy we got it!!!"

All go, no show.

OK, as a newbie, I'll ask a question: if the this vs that topics bug you so much, why do you even open them up? The benefit of newsgroup forums over email lists is it's very easy to ignore threads you don't like.

Just my .02...

Ok newbie, if you are going to ask that question in the WRX forum or on a subaru site, you are going to get mostly people saying buy the WRX. I am kinda tired of it too but I don't read them. I looked through one or two fast but didn't spend much time on it. Why let other people tell you what car to get? Like someone said in a post about getting a A4 or WRX, If you feel that you want a quick/luxury car get the A4, if you want a quick no nonsence sporty car get the WRX.

I'm in another grumpy mood I gess.

See, you've got the CWRX, and the NGWRX. Classic and New Gen. Actually, we all hope that this isn't the last "NG" WRX, don't we? That coding works great for the SAAB 900, though. oh, big deal, a slight bumper and headlight redesign in '87, still the same car. C900 covers '79-'93, and '94 conv. NG900 covers '94-'98 as the 9^3 replaced it after that.

Always good to see the Saab brethren about.

I've been waiting for the WRX for over 3 years, Saab is a lost cause now that GM ruined them... The Viggen and the Aero are the only really outstanding products from them in years. My Dad just bought an '00 Aero sedan.

I believe it's something about this forum only being temporary until the WRX gets here. That's why it's called 'Countdown'.

It's for us to discuss ANYTHING about the WRX until it gets here.

Alex (Imprezident) Post when he opened the new forum: http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/000001.html

If that means bench racing or hypothetical theorizing about what we think the US version WRX may do against other cars, then so be it.

It's all guess work until the car finally gets here and is tested side by side against any of the cars listed.

Then it comes down to driver skill, and what the car can/cannot do. It'll then be fact and will go back to the general forum.
