Default Do i need a capacitor or anything else?

I just bought a phoenix gold xenon x100.4 100 watts per channel amp and infinity kappa 2 way 60.5CS 6.5 inch components for the front and 6.5 inch kappa 65.3i coaxles for the back. I also have 2 JL W3 D4s being powered by another phoenix gold amp, though im not sure of the power rating on that one. I haven't installed anything yet, but I'm wondering if i will need a capacitor, or a beefed up alternator, or a second battery, or all of the above? I also might be getting a dvd player in the dash in the future. Thanks!!

You will be fine. For under 1000 watts, you shouldn't need anything.

I continue to hear that caps are very limited in the help they can provide. I would say to make sure and do good wiring throughout. And a good battery like an Optima could help out some (more as a replacement, not as a second). Also consider doing the "Big 3" or "Magic 3" wiring as well.

In your budget, allow for some of the other fixes, but only get them if you need them. No sense fixing a problem you don't have. Big 3 would be first btw.

I love phenox gold amp, but i was dissapointed with their new xenon amps. Maybe it was just a bad one. How do you like the amp you got?

I've been buying up the old ti400 i run everything from those. But you need a few of them

Your best bet is to start by reading this thread...

http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/u...c;f=5;t=006234

After that you may wanna search around these forums as I believe I have seen some talk about Impreza specifics. I need to find those posts myself as I am getting ready for my install and plan on doing it. It seems there was some mention of going to the fuse box for one of the connections.

The Official Big 3 thread at SoundDomain has been converted to this one. It has pictures.
