Ive been running this gearset for the last 30,000 miles, and when built RIGHT its a great set. I would trust PAR to rebuild it as long as they are not reusing bad components. The splines are slightly different but the labor at colonial subaru in Danbury, CT was only $1000.
Got the gearset from vivid for $2800. most places charge around $2000 for labor. I've blow clutches and and axle before breaking anything. Setup is kaaz front lsd, driveshaft shop aluminum driveshaft.. had a clutchmaster stage 3 and fidanza but fried it.. and i know how to drive. now i have an ATS carbon triple plate last tune was 300whp at 16psi on a VF30 with stock motor and i will quote phil from element saying he has "never seen a vf30 hold boost like that" i now have a hydra ecu and am installing magnus manifold to see what i can make on the VF30 before i drop in my new motor with JDM v8 heads and sti block w/ crawford internals and a GT40................booyah. i beat the piss outta this box and it holds up.
