Default Is your WRX jerky and bogging down alot? Try this..

Hey all,

Today I installed my Kartboy shifter bushing. It's great. I also wanted to find out why is my car so jerky and bogging down alot. I made sure all my hoses were tight and all. Then I decided to take off my MAF sensor. I have a CAI. (not sure if its a brand name or not), but anyways.. I removed the MAF sensor and it looked a little dirty. There is a little glass piece in there that was covered in dirt. I gently and I mean gently cleaned it. I also used a foam swab to VERY GENTLY clean inside the sensor. There are 2 little resistor like items in there. They look VERY fragile so be careful. I also put some of the dialetic grease around the base of the sensor, so it had a good seal against the CAI pipe. I took it for a spin. Man, o man... what a difference. The car does not jerk anymore, I pressed the accelerator to WOT and the car actually accelerated smoothly! It was great. I guess I will have to add this cleaning to my monthly checkover.

Use a non Chlorinated brake cleaner -that will do the trick too.
