Post Fuel Pressure Gauge?

So I was planning on getting some gauges and I was looking at the Fuel Pressure gauges. They have mechanical and electric. To me the electric ones seem simpler to install, but cost more....$271.00 according to autometer site. Does this seem right? It just seems like it costs ALOT for 1 gauge.

Also who should I buy the gauges from? Local speed shops or is there someplace on the net that might be cheaper? I was sort of looking to just stick with Autometer gauges though or at least the same brand for all three. Thanks.

Ethan, that sounds like an awful lot. Its probably Autometers MSRP, but most places should sell for less.

You have 4 options with the fuel pressure gauges from autometer

#1 - Mechanical - Its cheap, but you must mount it outside of the car so its somewhat useless in this case

#2 - Mechanical with Isolator - Its fairly cheap as well, you can mount it inside, but the fuel pressure can only go up to 15 PSI (stock car runs just under 50 PSI - so its useless as well).

#3 - Standard Electric - I think these are discontinued now. If you can find one, get it. The whole thing is about $100. It has the same sending unit as #4

#4 - Full Sweep Electiric - The only diff between this and #3 is that it is a full sweep gauge, as opposed to #3's partial sweep gauge. You will also need a place to stick the little black box for this one as well. Other than that, they are about the same (and this one costs close to twice as much.)

Just a side note if you are going to go with a Mech. F.P.G. and not a elctrc one you can not use it inside you car, if it fails it will shoot gas at 45 psi into you car (hope you not a smoker) Oh and the elctrc ones are alot more epensive than the mech ones. I don't think there is as much of a diff between the other mech and elec. just for the F.P.G.
man I hate that Tulit go in befour me sorry for the repeat of info.....his post was better anyways

Thereís the Intellitronix digital gauge (M-8034, 2-1/16", 15 - 100 PSI). Thatís what I went for - $79 for the meter and $50 for the sender (transducer).

In my pic of the gauge pack, itís the left most gauge:
