I believe ColinL is correct. The Rallispec Struts on the site are the V5 struts (red). I would call them to be sure, because the price might have changed and the site may not be up to date. They were at one time carrying them with a good price of $500 I think, but now that Subaru is getting them direct, it is kind of hard to compete.

Call to be sure though,
I was there last week, and the struts were in stock on the shelf, if that helps at all.

I disagree, they are the same. Rallispec's agent is purchasing them in Japan and they import them.

Meanwhile they have to compete with FHI directly selling them to Subaru of America, who absorbs the import costs with the rest of their high-volume shipping.

Compare the price of WRX aluminum hood from SPD versus from Troncalli Subaru. Same hood.

My brother bought his from RalliSpec back when no one else had them. I saw/held one of them back then. I just bought the FHI V5 dampers from Sugar (Lisa), and they are the same thing. As much as I want to help local business out, especially Rallispec, I couldn't see spending an extra $200+tax to buy these from RalliSpec when I could get them from a Subaru dealer so much cheaper.

Maybe RalliSpec will get these from a different source so that they can be more price competitive. Heck, they could buy them from Subaru dealer for $290, and sell them for $350-400 bucks.
