Default Greddy E-manage

Well the on going quest for the perfect engine management continues, I left a post a few weeks ago and was told that I could run a SAFC on my 98 2.5rs with low boost under 6.lbs and it would run efficently but my goal is around 8-10 lbs so I thought about the J&S safeguard as a good addition. That was untill I seen the $500 price tag and decided there has to be something on the market that has the same function as the J&S for less or has more functions at the same price that was when I read (in the post below) about the E-manage being able to retard/advance timing. My question is would the knock guard be suficent in the e-manage to run the boost I want or will I have to bite the bullet and get the J&S, if anyone knows of any other piggy back systems that would work plz tell.

the emanage has NO knock detection. You're not going to find anything with knock detection/correction for less than $500, the only other choice is full standalone for knock detection.

also adding on to that. the only one that i know of that is full stand alone with knock protection is a link plus. the haltech has NO knock protection, and i don't know about the Tec 1, 2, or 3. but all of those, the link, haltech, and tec all have a price tag of about 1200 or higher. but they are full stand alone and offer more than any piggy back would. i would go full stand alone if you have some one to tune it for you and are willing to dish out the $$$! Peace
