Post Looking at a Scooby tomorrow

Tomorrow my GF and I are going to look at a Auto 2.5 RS. It has 49000 miles on it. What things should we especially keep our eyes out for. ANy particular problems that are common on these? Also I am curious how the Automatic tranny is on these. Any help greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for a cheap RS, go talk to christoph1371. He has a green 98 RS for sale. How many green RS's do you see, not many, plus it has a DOHC. Just a suggestion...

Yeah, that's about right.

Chris' car is a manual BTW.

Anyway, since you didn't say what model year it's hard to tell what might be wrong. The biggest concern might be a leaky head gasket on the '98's (but also possible on '99+). Other than that, just look for the usual stuff ... CV joints, condition of all fluids, compression test, etc.
