Default Any of you 5-speed guys use launch control?

I'm trying to decide if I wanna use launch control on my WRX. I'm running an XEDE with the Stage 1 93 octane map. I want my time to get better but I don't wanna brake anything. Just wondering if any of you have used launch control and if you're confident that it's safe to use.

yes, i use it. i don't launch every time i move the car obviously. but there ARE a couple of choice on-ramps i frequent...

i use flat foot shifting more than launch control, i guess you might say, even though they work on the same principle.

in general i'd much rather burn the piss out of my clutch than destroy my gearbox, so my left foot tends to be slower rather than faster.

if your after good 1/4 times... launch control will probably help you but dont' expect the trans to last if you frequently drag and launch hard w/ or w/ out it.. or maybe expect it to last but start saving money for its replacement
