Default Subaru Superstore of Chandler

Is everyone aware that a huge Subaru dealership is opening in Chandler on November 1st? I drive by it everyday and it looks massive... I've heard they are going to cater to the performance crowd too! Cool.

Jay, if you could get in there and work with them as their aftermarket's parts guy, that would be sweet. XYZ Subaru Dealership of Chandler and Evil Performance. It would be like all the pictures I see of the Subaru dealerships in Japan where the dealer stocks and sells big brake kits, larger turbos, race wheels, harnesses and bucket seats, etc.

But this will probably never be the case here.

30 service bays? Well, after using 3 to fix Suabru's that break down or need service, what are they going to do with the other 27? I don't really see Subaru needing that many service bays ever. Good quality aside, there are just not that many of them on the road.

The dealership will fix other makes of cars too

Berge Mazda/VW on Country Club & Baseline has like 5 bays for Mazda and only 1 or 2 bays ever have a Mazda in them. The VW side has like 7 bays and are always passing their excess to the empty Mazda bays, or Mazda is servicing other makes.

Good friend works on the project and got some info... The dealership's website is www.shopsubaru.com ... there is a splash page for now and it will have an employment application setup in a few weeks. Hiring begins October 1... about 30-35 total employees. Below is some more info on the dealership;

a. The dealership is on 7 acres... two story, 38,000 sq. ft. facility.
b. Will stock approximately 125 new Subaru's and a 100 used cars
c. 14 Service bays with in-ground lifts and in-ground alignment rack... all state of the art equipment and design. I heard it will be one of the largest and nicest Subaru dealerships in the country.
d. They are planning to do performance stuff as well as the normal retail / wholesale parts... big parts facility with online catalogs and ordering
e. The owners are into racing... run SCAA GT2 class... came in 8th in the country last year with a full race, tube chassis, C5 Corvette body... have been racing for over 20 years.
f. Those of you who used to deal with Pitre Subaru years ago will know Richard... he is the co-owner and used to run Pitre Subaru when they were tight with AZScoobie in 2001-2005. He runs the Acura of Tempe dealership with his business partner Bud Thurston... Bud also owns the SanTan Honda dealership and will own part of the Subaru store with Richard.

I'm sure they would love to have the Subaru club there but, probably a few weeks after they open... I know they have plans to bring in some specials guests (I heard who they are but cannot say but will be extremely cool) and engineers from US & Japan.

Yea, its all stock except the wheels, and hella supertones. Sounds like somethings clicking/knocking in the engine constantly.
