Default hood deflector

will this minimize the bugs that get splattered on the windshield from highway driving? also, will this hurt the cooling performance from the turbo model? i am worried that it will deflect air up and above the intercooler opening.

The general thoughts here on NASIOC is that the deflectors do hinder fresh air entering the scoops. Its probably more so on the low profile scoops of the Baja-t.

I think the bug deflector from Subaru was redesigned just for the turbo models for the air problem to the cooler.Instead of it flipping up,its curved down to the hood.I don't think that wuold keep the bugs off without that flipped up lip.

I have the acrylic hood deflector on my turbo baja and it doesn't deflect the air. It only is a stone guard. But it does deflect some of the bugs from hitting the wiinshield. It is mutch better than having nothing up there and getting a lot of stone chips. There is 0 problems with the air comming into the hood scoop.
