Default clutch shudder, new clutch, stopped...now shuddering again

I had my stock clutch replaced at the dealer with an exedy unit and the shuddering stopped completely.

now it is a few months later and it is doing it again.

I haven't driven my car hard or anything like that at all (mostly due to the fact that I'm afraid of it shuddering or something happening to the clutch)

It's driving me insane to the point of where I'm thinking about getting rid of the car.

Was the flywheel replaced? Part of the Subaru TSB repair for clutch shudder was replacing the flywheel with an updated (heavier) one. Replacing the disc/pressure plate alone does not always get rid of it- in many instances where dealers replaced clutches before the final TSB was released, the shudder eventually returned.
Either way since you had the work done at the dealer you should be able to take it back and have them correct it under warranty.

I had the same problem with my exedy clutch. I have the hyper single clutch which comes with the lightened flywheel. It was real bad until I broke it in at the race track. Now my only problem is when I throw it into gear it seems the front axles and the rear axles are engaging at different times. I don't know if that is normal or if Subaru screwed something up when they installed the new clutch.
