Default Mount, Balance, Alignment.

Whats a fair price for a Mount Balance and Alignment.

I was quoted locally:

60$ ::: Mount and Balance all 4.
70$ / 4-Wheel ::: Alignment.

For some reason the mount and balance seemed high. Just curious.

that's not too bad although my mounting and balancing usually seems to be $50 or under for 4 wheels. i would recommend finding a shop that offers a lifetime alignment package. i got a lifetime package for $130 at Firestone and I've gotten 4 alignments out of it so far.

I paid Subaru 69.95 for a computer balance and received a before and after printout for my records. Some shops do not have personel who are interested in doing a good alignment job as witnessed by the steering wheel off center and othe problems. I think I paid about 60 bucks for unmounting 4 old tires, mounting 4 new tires and a good balance job. ed
