Default Utec rev 5a

I have a '04 WRX and I have a rev 5a utec. Now some people say you can not use that utec on the '04 but I have it running on my car right now. It seems to run ok but a bit out of tune. Do you know what problems I will run into if any, running the rev 5 with a 04.

I thought there was something in the rev 6 involving open/closed loop fueling that was needed to properly tune 04's. I looked into this a few months ago, but have forgotten now.

A quick check with TurboXS might be your best bet.

Also check;

But if it works and you have no CEL then it all sounds fine to me.
