Default 18" x 7.5" Wheels Question

These wheels i have are 18" x 7.5" with +48.

Im temporarily using 5mm spacers to have brake caliper clearance.

Is it bad to be running +53 (48+5) @ 18"x7.5" on my 2003 wrx sedan?

Hard on the wheel bearings?

Thanks guys.

+53mm offset is supposed to be the proper offset for the vehicle anyway...

Thanks. Is there a place where i can get this information confirmed?

direct quote from SPDusa"

"When selecting wheels be sure to insist on the proper offset. 7 inch rim needs 55-53mm, 7.5 50-48mm and 8 inch needs 45-48mm. "
