2008 OBS

Question G-tech hp for stock OBS?

I used my friends G-tech and need a baseline to see if I need to downsize my pipes from 2.25"-->2." Does anyone have some numbers from a stock exhausted OBS? Also include what weight you used and how heavy you are.

When mine was stock... I made runs at 3,000lbs and got inconsistant results ranging from 117 to 122. I weigh 165. Hope that helps.

What are you guys talking about?? Go get the car weighed. Why guess. Set the G-Tech at the correct weight, straight ahead on the windshield, and 0.0 sitting still. It will give you very consistent HP and is within 0.10 sec. in the 1/4 mile.

2000 GT Limited weight was exactly posted curb weight given by Subaru with all fluids full, dealer installed options, and driver = 3620 lbs.

If you cheat on the weight, go light, your HP will be down. If you tell G-Tech your heavier the HP will go up. Your only kidding yourself without the known weight of the car, I know because I made the same mistake your making.

Made 6 passes at 108 HP on the ground. Even by varying the weight (give or take) 10 lbs. and missing a shift during one run it still recorded 108HP.

Don't forget tire pressure, ambient temp., fuel tank level, and wind direction (avoid the head wind). Every test should be done exactly the same for best results.

Default G-Tech Tested

I tested my OBS before my G-Tech Pro got stolen. At 3118lbs (Me included), I was getting anywhere from 106hp-111hp. I was averaging around 109hp most of the time. This is with an automatic if that means anything.

Why did I pick 3118lbs? This is what my car weight was at Englishtown Raceway after weighing over and over again during runs at events or street nights. It varied back and forth due to gas tank levels and junk in the car but it mainly was around this weight.
