17" or 18"?????????
Ive been searching around on subydude and i really like the rotas. But im torn between the new Mesh, tarmac IIs, or formels. I know i can only get formels in 17s and the tarmacs i can get in both and the meshs are 18s. I like the meshs because there 18x8 as opposed to the other to which are 17x7.5 or 18x7.5. But with getting 18s what i dont like is im worried im gonna rub cause im gonna throw tein s-techs on and the tires for 18s are soo exspensive. What im asking is if the the half inch in width really makes a difference in handling and is there a big difference besides look in 17 and 18s tell me what you think and if you know any good tire websites besides tire rack let me know. If i get 17s im def. putting on falken azenis sports.

you shouldnt rub if you have a sedan and get 225-45-17. even with s-techs. wagon's another story. with 8 inch wide wheel you could put on wider tires. im not sure how much difference in handling it will make, given the same tire size.
IMO, from what youve said, i think you should just get 17s. tires for 18s are expensive. as far as style goes, i like the mesh and tarmac better than formels. tarmac is nice just cuz it looks like prodrive p1 but i like the radial spoke look. its a hard decision... tire websites: www.tires.com www.edgeracing.com www.onlinetires.com www.vulcantire.com |

rota now makes a couple rims that are 17x8. check out the boost, slipstream, or torque.
